Skynex Arcade Privacy Policy
In short. Skynex Arcade works without an account and stores your progress on your phone: the app sends no data about you to the developer. Version 1.0 shows no ads, sells nothing and does not connect to the Internet. When a later version adds optional ads and purchases, those two features will be provided by Google AdMob and Google Play; sections 3 to 6 explain what data they process and how you decide.
1. Who is responsible
Adrián Valverde Sánchez, an individual developer who publishes the app under the name Skynex.
- Privacy contact e-mail: adrianvaldaw@gmail.com
- Website: https://skynex.es · Country: Spain
- Postal address and tax ID: see the Aviso legal (legal notice, in Spanish).
No data protection officer has been appointed because it is not required in this case.
2. Data the app stores on your phone
So that you do not lose your progress, the app saves in its private storage on the device:
- the best scores of each game and your in-game coins;
- the shop items and styles you have obtained or bought, and which ones you are using;
- your settings: style, app language, button-label language, console design, game mode and sound;
- whether you have already seen the help of each game.
The app does not send this data to the developer or to any third party. There is no account, no sign-up and no analytics of our own. Saving it is strictly necessary to provide the service you ask for (carrying on where you left off), so it does not require your consent.
If Android backup is turned on, your phone may include this data in the backup of your Google account and restore it when you reinstall the app or switch phones. That backup is managed by Google and the developer has no access to it.
You can delete it whenever you like: "Settings > Erase records" removes the scores, and clearing the app's data or uninstalling it removes it from the phone (the Android backup, if you use it, is managed from your Google account).
3. Advertising: optional rewarded ads
Ads are optional: one is shown only when you tap the button to watch an ad in exchange for in-game coins. They are served by Google AdMob through Google's ads component included in the app (Google Mobile Ads SDK). For users in the European Economic Area and Switzerland the service is provided by Google Ireland Limited; for everyone else, including the United Kingdom, by Google LLC.
That Google component may automatically process this data, depending on what you choose on the consent form (section 4):
| Data | What Google uses it for |
|---|---|
| IP address | Serving the ad, estimating the general location of the device and preventing fraud. |
| Device and account identifiers: Android advertising ID, app set ID and, if applicable, other identifiers related to signed-in accounts on the device | Showing ads (personalised only if you agree), limiting how often you see the same one, measuring ads and preventing fraud. |
| Interactions with the app and with the ads (app launch, taps, video views) | Advertising, analytics (ad measurement) and fraud prevention. |
| Diagnostic data (performance of the app and of the component: launch time, hangs, energy usage) | Advertising, analytics (ad measurement) and fraud prevention. |
The app does not send Google your name, your e-mail or any other data that identifies you directly: it does not have them.
Personalised, non-personalised and limited ads. If you accept everything, the advertising ID may be used to show you personalised ads. If you only accept storage of and access to information on the device, ads will be non-personalised: they are not chosen from your interests or past activity but from context (the app they appear in and your general location); Google may still use identifiers for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and to combat fraud and abuse. If you refuse everything, Google can only serve limited ads, with no personalisation and none of the features that need a device identifier: your IP address is processed to deliver the ad and Google may use local storage solely to detect invalid traffic and fraud. In that case there may be no ad available.
Who is responsible. The developer decides to include ads and to ask for your consent; Google decides how it processes the data to provide its advertising service. Both act as independent controllers. Google explains its part in "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" and in its Privacy Policy.
Legal basis. Your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a) and art. 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI), requested with a form before any ad is requested (section 4), for storing or reading identifiers on your device and for personalised ads. The technical processing that is indispensable to deliver the ad you ask to watch, measure it in aggregate and detect fraud relies on the legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)) of the developer and Google; you can object under "Manage options" in the same form.
4. Your consent and how to change it
The first time the app is going to use ads you will see a Google consent form (based on the IAB Europe TCF standard) where you can accept, refuse or choose option by option, and see the list of advertising companies involved.
- You can change or withdraw your decision at any time under "Settings > Privacy options" inside the app.
- In addition, on your phone: "Settings > Privacy > Ads" lets you reset or delete the advertising ID.
Refusing does not stop you from playing. It only affects the ads: they may be less relevant or unavailable.
5. In-app purchases
Inside the app you can buy some visual styles, packs of in-game coins and a full unlock of the styles and the shop. The payment is handled entirely by Google Play under its own terms and privacy policy; for buyers in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom the seller is Google Commerce Limited.
- The developer does not receive or store your card or bank details, your name or your address.
- The app only receives from Google Play the confirmation of which item was bought (product and purchase identifiers) in order to unlock it or add the coins, and remembers it on your phone. Styles and the full unlock are restored from your Google account; purchased coins are stored on your phone with the rest of your progress.
- In the Google Play developer console the developer sees each order with its number, the item, the amount, the date and the buyer's country, without your name or payment data.
Legal basis. Performance of the purchase you request (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)) and, for sales records, the developer's tax and accounting obligations (art. 6(1)(c)), for the periods required by law.
Refunds and the right of withdrawal are governed by Google Play's terms.
6. Who data is shared with, and international transfers
The developer does not sell personal data and does not receive the personal data that Google and its advertising partners process for ads; for purchases, the developer sees only the order details described in section 5. The recipients of the data are:
- Google (Google Ireland Limited, Google LLC and, for purchases, Google Commerce Limited), for the ads, the consent form and the purchases described above;
- Google's advertising partners shown in the list on the consent form, depending on what you choose there;
- the hosting provider and Cloudflare, to serve the skynex.es website (section 11);
- the e-mail provider, if you write to us (section 12).
Google, its advertising partners, Cloudflare and the e-mail provider may process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. Those transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Decision (EU) 2023/1795), while it remains in force and for companies certified under it, and otherwise on the standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission. You can consult those safeguards and ask for a copy at Google's data transfer frameworks and in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
7. How long data is kept
- Game data stays on your phone until you delete it or uninstall the app. If you use Android backup, that copy stays in your Google account until you delete it from your account or Google removes it under its own rules. The developer has no copy, so there is nothing the developer could delete for you.
- Your consent choice is stored on the device, where Google's components read it in order to honour it, until you change it or it expires; when it expires, Google will ask you again.
- Data processed by Google is kept according to Google's policy.
- Sales records are kept for the tax and accounting periods required by law.
- E-mails you send are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request.
There are no user accounts, so there is no account deletion process.
8. Security
Game data leaves the app's private storage only if you use Android backup (section 2). Communications made by Google's components are encrypted in transit (TLS). The developer has no servers that receive data from the app.
9. Children
Skynex Arcade is not directed at children. To consent to the use of your data for advertising you must be of the age required by the law of your country (14 in Spain; up to 16 in other countries). If you are younger, that decision belongs to your parent or guardian. The developer does not knowingly collect data from minors; if you believe a minor has e-mailed us personal data, let us know and we will delete it.
10. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, rectify it, erase it, object to its processing, request restriction or portability, and withdraw your consent at any time without affecting what was done before.
- For anything that depends on the developer (for example, e-mails you have sent us), write to adrianvaldaw@gmail.com.
- The developer holds no game data and no advertising data. For data processed by Google, use the ad settings and privacy tools of your Google account and the app's "Privacy options".
- If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
You are not required to provide any data in order to play: ads and purchases are optional. No automated decisions with legal effects are made about you.
11. The skynex.es website
This website is static: it uses no cookies of its own, no analytics and no third-party resources (fonts and images are hosted on the site itself).
When you visit it, the hosting provider and Cloudflare, which acts as a delivery and protection network, automatically process your IP address, the date and time, the page requested and technical data about your browser in order to serve the page and protect it from abuse. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in the operation and security of the site. Cloudflare may use a strictly necessary technical security cookie. Each provider keeps these logs for the limited period stated in its own policy; the developer only looks at them when needed to fix a fault or an abuse and does not combine them with any other data.
The domain also hosts a private, family-use area (skynex.es/cinema/) with restricted access. Only that area uses a first-party technical cookie (PHPSESSID), needed to log in and keep the session, which expires after 30 days at most; it is not set when you visit the public pages, has no advertising or analytics purpose and is not part of the app.
12. If you write to us
If you send an e-mail, your address and the content of the message are processed only to reply to you. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in answering people who write to us (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)) or, if you exercise a right, compliance with a legal obligation (art. 6(1)(c)). The e-mail provider acts on behalf of the developer.
13. Changes to this policy
When it changes, it will be published here with a new date. If the change is significant (for example, when ads or purchases are switched on), there will also be a notice inside the app.
